All are warmly welcomed.

The Christmas , Easter and Harvest Services once again fill the Chapel and it is encouraging to witness the amount of families attending and the promises made towards support for the Chapel in attendance and help. The services of a recently retired well known and liked local minister have been offered to us, accompanied by various other local lay preachers. We are actively promoting the Chapel and the Hall in the area and are excited with the ‘turn around’ in attendances we have witnessed over the last 3 years.
With the proposed housing development at Parc Derwen, Coity, there will be a further 1500 houses within our parish thus further swelling the population in our community, another area able to benefit from the improved Chapel and hall facilities. This will continue to bring the chapel and hall back to the centre of worship and social gatherings within the village and community at large.
Members of the community have helped with donations towards the costs of repairs thus far carried out and grants and aid have been received towards the cost of the work so far completed and future projects in hand, further regenerating the Chapel and hall. Funds have been obtained by contacting local business people, farmers and tradesmen who have helped and supplied materials and workers to complete urgent repairs. It is proposed that these efforts will be continued along with community fund raising activities by the chapel in conjunction with Coity Village Association and the Guides, Brownie and Rainbow associations.
To help with the funding of future repairs and refurbishments local community grants are being actively pursued, as are grants available from Foundations / Trusts who financially assist Christian and community conscious organisations. We have received varied amounts of money from local sources such as the Coity Higher Community Council, the Coity Village Association and Coity Village School, all echoing the fact that they are pleased to see the resurgence of Gilead within the community.
Grants have also been received towards the repair work on the Chapel and Hall from The Welsh Churches Act Fund, The James Pant Y Fedwen Fund, and The Garfield Weston Foundation. The pursuance of such grant monies is an ongoing task to ensure that Gilead has the correct and safe facilities to serve the community into the next century and on!
